Blending Silo
Gravity and pneumatic blending up to 3000 m³ for PE, PVC, recycling and more.
Design data
- Max. blending volume
- 3000 m³ (gravity blending)
- Material
- Al-Mg alloy / SS304
- Used for
- PE and PVC production, plastics recycling
- Design / acceptance standard
- SH 3078 / SH 3513
Blending silos even out quality differences between production batches so the product is uniform. Typical uses are PE and PVC production and plastics recycling. We pick the blending method from the material's flowability, particle size and batch size.
Blender types
Central multi-tube blender
Free-flowing pellets or coarse powders
Wall-tube blender
Free-flowing pellets or coarse powders
Central single-tube blender
Free-flowing materials in slender silos
Cone weir blender
Low-cost retrofit of existing silos
Fluidized-bed homogenizer
Poorly flowing powders
Selection guide
Gravity blending
Free-flowing pellets, most types also powders; up to 3000 m³; lowest energy, <1–3 kWh/t
Pneumatic blending
Powders, not pellets; up to 1000 m³; 1–7 kWh/t
Mechanical mixing
Small powder batches up to 100 m³; 2–10 kWh/t
